Angling Mentors provides young and vulnerable members of the community with meaningful opportunities to engage in angling and connect with the outdoor environment.
Through regular, structured sessions, participants build confidence, self‑esteem, social skills, and an appreciation for the natural world.
These experiences help young people develop positive, life‑enhancing skills that support their wellbeing and future growth.
Our programme also brings together experienced anglers who volunteer their time to share their passion for angling, environmental conservation, and the benefits of spending time outdoors — especially around water.
These intergenerational connections strengthen community relationships and create a supportive environment where learning and personal development can thrive.
Angling Mentors aims to offer sessions, training, and resources free of charge to as many young people and volunteers as possible, ensuring accessibility for those who benefit most.
To achieve this, we rely entirely on fundraising and donations. Every contribution directly supports the delivery of safe, inclusive, and inspiring angling experiences that help individuals learn, improve, and grow.
